Fisher & Paykel has this morning announced the resignation of national marketing manager Peter Russell.

F&P media statement (edited for readability):

One of the industry’s most experienced and respected marketers, Peter Russell, has announced he will be leaving Fisher & Paykel Australia after seven years at the helm.

Russell has led Fisher & Paykel’s concerted repositioning strategy in Australia and has championed numerous cutting edge digital, experiential and through the line campaigns during his tenure.

Probably best known for his impactful experiential initiatives, such as the transforming mobile Ironside container, Musion holographic theatre and recently the hugely successful YUM Kitchen at the national Good Food & Wine Shows, Russell is renowned for his highly innovative marketing and strategic approach allowing Fisher & Paykel to box well above its weight.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Fisher & Paykel Australia and will be leaving behind a very creative and capable team,” says Russell.

Asked what is in store next, Russell replied: “Joining the professional world surfing circuit or responding to my call up for the All Blacks; not sure which, perhaps both.”
