SYDNEY, NSW: Bing Lee’s pride and joy, A-League club Sydney FC, will win tomorrow night’s Grand Final against Melbourne Victory 3-1, according to general manager Phil Moujaes.

Tomorrow is an important day for both the Sydney-based football club and retailer: the club is playing to win its second premiership, whilst the retailer is celebrating its first decider as the club’s major sponsor.

“This is the first time they’ve reached the A-league Grand Final since our sponsorship started, and we are very excited about it,” Moujaes told Current.com.au.

“We were equally excited when they beat Melbourne Victory last month to finish minor premiers for the home and away season.”

Bing Lee and Sony are joint major sponsors of Sydney FC. Because Bing Lee’s primary business interests are in New South Wales, Bing Lee has the shirtfront sponsorship for home games, while Sony has prime position for away fixtures. Sony is also the major sponsor of Wellington Phoenix – the team Sydney beat to qualify for the Grand Final.

“We draw a large percentage of our overall business from the Sydney market, and our decision to sponsor the only Sydney team in the A-League was based around demonstrating our support to the community in Sydney, and in particular, those thousands of kids and adults who play football every week in the suburbs of Sydney.”

Moujaes is unable to travel down for the game, which is being played at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium tomorrow night. He is, however, looking forward to watching the match on TV, and has confidently predicted a 3-1 win for the boys in sky blue.
