Marketing manager, Filiz Bensan was very enthusiastic about the news and also emphasised the company’s number one position in brand share.

“This is a fantastic result. The Tefal brand is number one, with 55 per cent value share. The range has performed very strongly due to the launch of very innovative products that target key price segments,” she said.

“Consumers have responded very positively to the new range with strong sales across all models. This success has also been achieved through strong promotional support activity.”

Bensan was very optimistic about the category and is keen to further the growth.

“Our overall objective is to further grow this category with strong in store support covering demonstration, training, educational point of sale and consumer promotions,” she said.

“We will continue to invest into this category and add value to our retail partners. We want to remain the leading brand in this segment and believe that we have a strong marketing program in place to drive growth in the category this year.”

For Mothers Day, Tefal is offering consumers up to $100 cash back across selected models. Customers who purchase a GV9150/GV9360 will receive $100 cash back. Consumers will also receive $75 on the GV8150/GV8360, $50 on the GV7150, $25 on the GV6920.  The Steam Generator range is also supported with a 30 day money back guarantee.
