Winning Appliances celebrated its 110th anniversary last week. The fourth generation Australian family business has come a long way since the inception of the R.W. Winning & Co trade name in 1906 by Richard William Winning.
Commenting on the milestone, Winning Appliances CEO, David Woollcott told Appliance Retailer, “This important milestone would not have been possible without the support of our suppliers and customers. To thank customers for their ongoing support we held three days of special offers on a range of appliances across the country.”
“The occasion marked our strongest July in Winning Appliances’ history and to top it off, we finished the month with a record high Net Promoter Score,” he added.
Winning Appliances now has 12 showrooms around the country and since 2006, when John ‘Herman’ Winning took the helm, five new showrooms were introduced – two in Queensland and three in Western Australia. The retailer has also been recognised with a number of industry awards.
Last month, Appliances Online was awarded four industry gongs at the Online Retail Industry Awards (ORIAS) evening held in Sydney.
