Vintec Club has celebrated its 10th anniversary with its first overseas members experience in Dijon in the Burgundy region of France.

There were 18 Vintec Club members who snapped up the limited tickets via the Vintec Club website. Joining them were wine experts, including World’s Best Sommelier, Arvid Rosengren.

Held from July 3rd to 8th, after a visit to Dijon, the group travelled though the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, visiting boutique wineries based in Beaune, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Vosne-Romanée and Volnay.

“The tour and the Vintec Club both embody our focus on developing consumer relationships. It’s an exciting cross-collaborative initiative with loyalty members, local digital teams and global colleagues, that we are looking to continue with future tours and experiences,” Vintec Club manager for Australia and New Zealand, Alexis Desbrugeres said.

Desbrugeres shared some of the highlights and special guests with the ANZ team via social networking service, Yammer, and will provide clues to enter a competition after the tour.

“We’re always looking for ways to get closer to our Vintec Club members and an overseas tour has always been a dream of ours. It provides us with a great opportunity to connect with them on a personal level and understand what motivates their purchases and helps us identify how we can add value for them,” Desbrugeres said.

“We wanted to show our members that the Vintec Club is a place for wine lovers to access exceptional and unique wine experiences you won’t find anywhere else. Burgundy, birthplace of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, home to some of the most iconic wines and appellations in the world, is certainly one of those areas,” he added.
