Uniden has donated 100 waterproof UHF Radios to the NSW SES Hawkesbury Unit to help volunteers with their current and future flood emergency response work.

The donation was facilitated by Robert ‘The Duck’ Smith from The Camping & Offroad Adventure Radio Show and 2GB, who was able to deliver the products into the hands of the local SES team last week.

“We are pleased to support the hardworking SES crews helping flood affected residents and business owners in the Hawkesbury region. It’s a small contribution to ensure volunteers stay connected and safe when navigating difficult conditions and isolated locations,” Uniden Australia national marketing communications manager, Brad Hales said.

“We are grateful to the outdoor adventure community for helping us to identify opportunities to assist, and to ‘The Duck’ for quickly distributing our products to people that can put them to immediate use. We understand the importance of reliable communication tools in emergency and recovery situations and thank all volunteers and emergency responders for their hard work at this very challenging time.”
