Fisher & Paykel has expanded its Australian division, with the company appointing James Shanahan to the new role of product manager, Australia.
“The creation of this new role reflects Fisher & Paykel’s core commitment to best in class product development and sales capabilities,” said F&P’s Australian general manager of marketing, Peter Russell.
“James’ expertise in market and product analysis, new product development and experience with path to purchase will be invaluable assets to the Australian distributor business and the group in general,” Russell said.
Mr Shanahan joins the company from Sony Pictures, where he held the position of account manager and coordinated the roll out of Sony’s retail campaigns. Prior to Sony, Shanahan worked at Samsung Australia and Blackberry.
According to F&P, “James will report directly to Mr Russell, as well as offer support to a range of internal stakeholders including Australian Sales and Global Product Development”
The new position will come into effect on 28 March 2012, with Shanahan to be based at Fisher and Paykel’s Sydney office in Lidcombe.
