After more than 11 years with the company, John Skippen, has resigned as director, secretary and chief financial officer of Harvey Norman Limited.

Skippen told current.com.au he will continue as a director of two other Harvey Norman businesses – publicly-listed sporting goods retailer Rebel Sport and Pertama Holdings which is listed on the Simgapore stock exchange.

In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange, Harvey Norman chairman Gerry Harvey confirmed the resignation.

“Mr Skippen remains an executive employee of the company and Yoogalu Pty Limited, trading as Harvey Norman, with areas of responsibility involving mergers and acquisitions and international expansion,” Harvey said.

Chris Mentis, who was previously group accountant, has been appointed as chief financial officer and secretary of the company.
