Michael Sloss, the grandson of the man who set up Syntec International, will leave the Sennheiser ANZ business at the end of May 2014. Sennheiser assumed control of Syntec when it set up a new subsidiary operation in Australia late last year.

“Syntec and Sennheiser have been a part of my life for a long time,” Sloss said. “It has been truly exciting and rewarding to be working through the transition to Sennheiser ANZ, and playing a key role in setting the future strategic direction.

“Now that direction is clear, I am absolutely confident Sennheiser ANZ will succeed and grow. Knowing that the future is secured has given me the space to consider the other things I would like to do and now seems like the right time to move on to new challenges.

“I will always hold a special place in my heart for Sennheiser, and look forward to staying in contact with the business as the company continues to succeed.”

Bjorn Rennemo Henriksen paid tribute to Sloss’ contribution.

“Michael has been at the heart of this business for many years, and has been a driving force in its growth and development,” he said. “As Sennheiser ANZ moves into a new phase, we are sad to see Michael leave, but also happy for him personally.

“Along with many other in this business, I will remain in close contact with Michael as a business contact and more importantly friend, and thank him personally for all the support and guidance he has given to me over the past six months.”
