UnderCurrent is delighted to see that The Good Guys have signed up as sponsors of reality TV renovation sensation The Block for its eighth season — a move that is sure to see fans of the show (or ‘Blockheads’ as they are affectionately known) flocking to stores to buy the appliances and consumer electronics they see kitting out the apartments in the show.

With the sponsorship has come a slick new section on The Good Guys’ website dedicated to The Block, filled with great content and plenty of cross promotion.

But perhaps the best part of the website is Roadblock — a game that requires serious skill (mouse clicking!) to navigate a cartoon Good Guys truck through the streets of Melbourne to deliver appliances in time for a Room Reveal.

Harking back to the days of Web 1.0, Geocities pages filled with sparkling mouse cursors and the original Warner Bros. Space Jam movie page, it’s a game sure to be popular with young and old alike. UnderCurrent has already lost a significant part of the work day trying to beat it.

At least it will give fans of The Block something to do during those interminable pauses before the judges dramatically reveal who is eliminated…

The Good Guys Roadblock

Drive the truck through the maze in The Good Guys’ Roadblock game. But done get crushed on the left-hand side of the screen!
