Sony head of digital imaging ANZ, Jun Yoon said, “It’s exceptional to see Sony’s community of passionate photographers and the amazing work they produce. The high standard of entries that we’ve received this year is a testament to the power and versatility of the Sony Alpha camera range.

“The Sony Alpha Awards has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2016, and we are so excited to see it continue to grow and celebrate Australian and New Zealand photography.”

This year’s Sony Alpha Awards also invited budding photographers aged between 11-18 years old to submit a photo via Instagram for the new Youth competition. This provided an opportunity to win up to $4,600 worth of Sony Alpha camera equipment.

Australia’s Digital Imaging Ambassador and Travel Photographer, Tyson Mayr chose 17 year old Keeley Watson from Auckland as the winner.
