Sony is releasing two new headphones, the WF-C500 wireless earbuds and WH-XB910N overhead headphones.

A new ergonomic surface design helps create a more stable and secure fit for the WF-C500 earbuds, which carry an IPX4 water resistant rating.

Thanks to DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine), the WF-C500 provide high quality sound by restoring high frequency and fine fade-out sound to create a more authentic listening experience. Users can tailor the sound using the Equalizer setting in the Sony Headphones Connect app to match settings with the music genre being listened to, or even create and save personalised settings.

Easy operation buttons let users play, stop or skip tracks and adjust volume, as well as access Google Assistant or Siri to get directions, play music and send messages. Providing up to 10 hours of battery life, or 20 hours in total with the charging case, the WF-C500 offers an hour of extra playtime with a 10-minute quick charge.

The charging case is easy to carry around on the go and its translucent lid with texture like frosted glass provides a stylish look and feel.

The WF-C500 will be available in black and white from early October 2021 for RRP $149.95.

The WH-XB910N overhead headphones feature improved noise cancelling with Dual Noise Sensor technology and exceptional bass with a dedicated Extra Bass function for deeper and punchier sound.

The WH-XB910N also deliver Precise Voice Pickup Technology, which combines two built-in microphones with advanced audio signal processing, to pick up voices clearly and precisely for hands-free calls.

Like the WF-C500, the overhead headphones also use DSEE to restore tracks to a high-quality sound that is truer to the original recording. Sound can be tailored using the Sony Headphones Connect app.

With Adaptive Sound Control, the WH-XB910N senses where a listener is and what they are doing and adjust the ambient sound settings accordingly.

Users can change track, adjust volume and take or make calls by tapping or swiping the touch panel on the side of the headphones. By placing a hand over the housing, Sony’s Quick Attention Mode will activate to let in surrounding noise.

Boasting up to 30 hours of battery life, the WH-XB910N can also provide up to 4.5 hours of extra playtime with a 10-minute quick charge with an optional AC adapter. Multipoint connection means the headphones can be paired with two Bluetooth devices at once and the headphones know which device is ringing and seamlessly connects.

Compatible with Google Assistant and Alexa, the headphones can connect with friends, find information, listen to music, set reminders and more, all hands-free.

The WH-XB910N will be available in black and blue from November 2021 for RRP $349.95.

The WF-C500 and WH-XB910Nboth support Google’s Fast Pair feature to pair the headphones with an Android device quickly and easily. Plus, Swift Pair makes it quick and easy to pair headphones with a Windows 10 computer via Bluetooth.

Zero plastic is included in the packaging material for both models, reflecting Sony’s commitment to reducing the environmental impacts of their products and practices.
