Smeg has unveiled a number of new products in key categories at the largest Italian trade fair for the kitchen appliance industry – EuroCucina in Milan.

After a four-year hiatus, Smeg has returned to its home exhibition in northern Italy with new ovens, rangehoods, wine cellar, dishwashers and iconic FAB fridges the company describes as celebrating the best of the company’s signature Italian style paired with the latest technology.

Smeg announced an expansion of its recently launched Galileo multi-cooking innovation, launching across Classic with comprehensive steam technology in full size ovens. Front and centre is the 60cm collection Pyrosteam model offering 20% to 40% steam injection with an 800ml tank for up to six hours of cooking. Meanwhile, the Classic compact will feature Steam100 technology with continuous steam between 20% and 100%.

Upgrades were also announced to the Portofino collection, with additions to the 90cm cooker with in-oven barbecue, air fry and stone cooking accessories being introduced to its capabilities. The 120cm cooker’s steam cavity will feature Pyrosteam technology with 20% to 40% steam injection, as well the 150cm Portofino with 90cm plus 60cm cavities. The latter will also feature a mixed fuel cooktop, while the 60cm Pyrosteam oven will soon include a built-in stone for perfect pizza.

Two of Smeg’s signature collections will introduce new colours, opening up more possibilities for self-expression in the kitchen. The popular matte black Classic collection has been refreshed and expanded with the addition of a 75cm five-burner gas cooktop joining the full-size oven and compact. Linea will also offer a new aesthetic option, with an elegant contemporary Neptune Grey shade across full-size and compact ovens, blast chiller, wine cellar, coffee machine, induction cooktop and complementary drawers.

A number of important upgrades were also announced to the rangehood collection, such as Auto Vent 2.0. This new technology will help make exploring in the kitchen a seamless experience, allowing home cooks to operate the rangehood through the induction cooktop. ARIA, an innovative new air purifying system was also announced, featuring renewable ceramic filters which can be washed and reused.

Home entertainers and wine connoisseurs will be able to enjoy a new, larger addition to the existing wine cellar collection as Smeg debuted a 60cm built-in model. Designed to meet the highest of standards of wine storage, the new addition offers precise temperature control, humidity, air quality, UV protection, all housed in a vibration-free cavity across Dolce Stil Novo, Classic and Linea.

With a focus on guaranteed maximum energy efficiency, Smeg showcased an all Italian made dishwasher collection that features a new ground-breaking Sterilise function to eliminate 99.9% of germs and bacteria.

Building on the collection’s longstanding heritage and icon-status, nine new colours and finishes of the signature FAB fridge were announced alongside an upcoming collaboration with well-known French Champagne house Veuve Clicquot.
