Smeg is broadening its small appliance collection with the addition of a hand mixer and mini kettle, which will be available from September.

Designed by Matteo Bazzicalupo and Raffaella Mangiarotti of deepdesign, the compact appliances are the ideal choice for smaller kitchen spaces.

The HMF01 hand mixer (RRP $189) can be used to prepare a variety of sweet and savoury recipes from cakes, biscuits and meringue to pastry and doughs. The chrome handle features a control panel with backlit LED display to monitor speed and time.

Offering nine speeds and 250-watt motor, the hand mixer comes with three stainless steel attachments including whisks, flat beaters and dough hooks. It is available in black, white, red, cream, pastel green, pastel pink and pastel blue.

The KLF05 mini kettle (RRP $189) boasts 1400 watts of power and 800ml capacity with double wall design for the internal stainless steel to maintain water temperature and external surface to remain cooler to touch. It also features a 360-degree swivel base and non-slip feet, as well as auto switch off.

The mini kettle is available in black, white, red, cream, pastel green, pastel pink and pastel blue with sleek chrome and stainless steel details.
