Skullcandy has launched the Dime True Wireless Earbuds for RRP $69.95, offering an affordable entry into the true wireless category.

Boasting up to 12 hours of battery life, when the earbuds are removed from the charging case they automatically turn on for an easy connection via Bluetooth 5.0. The noise-isolating fit is supported by expertly selected and tuned microphones and drivers.

Intuitive, touch-enabled media controls on the buds allow users to take calls, change tracks, adjust volume and activate voice assistants like Google and Siri. With an IPX4 rating, the earbuds are sweat and water resistant. They are available in dark grey and true black.

Dime is backed by Skullcandy’s Fearless Use Promise that allows customers to purchase buds and cases separately from Skullcandy in the event any component is lost or broken.

NPD data has shown that true wireless earbuds account for less than half of the market in units, despite being the fastest growing segment in stereo headphones.

Skullcandy chief product officer, Jeff Hutchings said the new Dime True Wireless Earbuds intend on changing that. “Offering stellar sound and unmatched simplicity at a price that makes it possible to throw a pair in every bag, Dime breaks down all barriers formerly associated with true wireless.”
