Sharp Australia has acquired the display solution division of NEC Australia, encompassing large format displays and desktop monitors, LED display solutions, digital cinema and projectors.
The acquisition of the NEC Australia display solution business by Sharp Australia comes after the merging of Sharp and NEC Display in other markets in 2020.
In a statement, Sharp said, “As two market-leading brands in the production and development of visual solutions and combining both state-of-the-art product portfolios, this transfer allows optimal allocation of management resources while simultaneously building our strength and addressing the visual solutions needs of our B2B global customers.”
In conjunction with the transfer, NECare Service will be replaced by Sharp Customer Care. The warranty of the products sold by NEC Australia display solution division will continue and be handled by Sharp Customer Care within the warranty period, subject to terms and conditions of the specific product.
