Scottsdale Leading Appliances is being offered for sale due to the owners’ pending retirement after 34 years.
The long-established family business operates from a high-profile location in Scottsdale’s main street, King Street. Located approximately 60km north-east of Launceston, Tasmania, the store specialises in electrical goods and appliances, floor coverings and window furnishings. It is an agent for Jaycar and partner of Telstra.
“Over the past 34 years, we have seen many changes, especially with mobile phones, TVs and stereos,” Leading Appliances Scottsdale owners, Mark and Kim told Appliance Retailer.
“We have made many changes to adapt with changes in the community, including expansion into floor and window coverings 18 years ago. We have a hands-on approach and install the blinds and some flooring ourselves. It can be challenging at times but also very rewarding.
“Our business would be a great fit for two couples or a family as there is room for further expansion. We have run the business for the past 12 years by ourselves and with the help of the right staff it has worked well.
