Winning Group has confirmed the departure of buyer, Scott Whitney after less than one year in the role with his responsibilities absorbed by the group buying team.
“Winning Group confirms that Scott Whitney has left the business and we wish him well for the future,” a Winning Group spokesperson told Appliance Retailer.
His direct reports, Tom Howse and Brad Easterlick, have been put under national sales manager, James Bartlett.
Prior to his time at Winning Group, Whitney was group category and marketing manager at Narta for over six years. He has also held positions with Samsung as national account manager, Grays as business development manager and Saeco as a senior sales representative.
Whitney’s exit follows the departure of Winning Retail CEO, Jo Devery and chief financial officer (CFO), Stephen Rorie earlier this month.
