Samsung Electronics has confirmed the 2021 model of its LED modular display, The Wall is now available for Australian businesses.

With new AI processing technology, upgraded 120Hz frame rates, and versatile installation options, The Wall offers increased flexibility to showcase content.

Black Seal Technology creates a seamless canvas for deeper black levels with enhanced depth. With 1,600 nits peak brightness, The Wall provides clear images even in brightly lit environments and Ultra Chroma technology is designed to produce narrower wavelengths to create RGB colours.

The 2021 model features 8K resolution and Simple 8K playback with just one Snowbox, and can be configured horizontally for up to 16K resolution with the screen measuring over 1,000 inches.

Built-in Micro HDR and Micro Motion advanced picture refinement feature 20-bit processing to deliver a smooth viewing experience and colour mapping – suitable across different commercial environments.

The Wall also includes four picture-by-picture screens (PBP), allowing for four different content sources, all of which can be displayed simultaneously in 4K resolution.

By using up to 16 different neural network models, each trained in AI upscaling and deep learning technology, the Micro AI Processor can optimise picture quality up to 8K resolution, helping to improve contrast and reduce noise.

This year’s model is easier to install thanks to new wireless docking connections and a bezel-less design, resulting in a cabinet depth half as deep as the previous model. With modular technology, The Wall can be installed in a variety of positions, including concave, convex, ceiling, hanging, inclined and L-type.

TÜV Rheinland awarded The Wall its Eye Comfort Certification for minimised blue light emission, while its EMC Class B certification minimises electromagnetic waves for safe installation in homes.

According to Samsung Australia senior director of display and memory solutions, Philip Gaut, The Wall continues to drive innovation across the LED category as the latest in big-screen technology and future of display.

“Samsung continues to leverage its expertise in the professional display industry to remain at the forefront of innovation. The enhancements to The Wall are a great example of our commitment to the future of the industry,” he said.

“The Wall is a unique technology that delivers a stunning picture and will be offered in customisable formats. The Wall propels LED display technology into new realms of possibility by providing businesses with the opportunity to visually enhance, and completely transform spaces, such as lobbies, boardrooms, and showrooms.”
