Samsung has showcased its 2024 AV line-up with a range of Neo QLED 8K and 4K TVs, OLED TVs and a suite of sound solutions including soundbars and the Music Frame, all powered by AI technologies.
Samsung offers a screen for every experience, lifestyle, and passion point, according to Samsung Australia vice president of consumer electronics, Jeremy Senior.

At the pinnacle of Samsung’s premium range is Neo QLED 8K equipped with the advanced NQ8 AI Gen3 processor with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that delivers twice the speed of its predecessor.
Thanks to AI-driven picture technology, the Neo QLED 8K delivers enhanced clarity. With 8K AI Upscaling Pro, 8K resolution has become more accessible. In addition, AI Motion Enhancer Promakes action smooth and clear while Real Depth Enhancer Pro adds lifelike depth to the picture.
Audio is also powered by AI sound technology with the new Active Voice Amplifier Pro feature extracting dialogue from background noise and Object Tracking Sound Pro which syncs the sound with on-screen action. Adaptive Sound Pro further refines audio by intelligently adjusting the audio to the content and room acoustics.
The Neo QLED 8K also boasts AI features that understand and adapt to user needs, such as the AI Auto Game Mode that optimises visuals and audio and the AI Customisation Mode that adjusts the picture for each scene based on preferences.
The 2024 Samsung Neo QLED 4K line-up is powered by the NQ4 AI Gen2 Processor that renders images into 4K resolution, enhanced by Real Depth Enhancer Pro and Quantum Matrix technology, in addition to Pantone Validatedcolour accuracy and Dolby Atmos for an immersive audio experience.
Samsung has also introduced its 2024 OLED range inclusive of the S95D with the world’s first Glare-Free OLED certification, reducing reflection while preserving deep blacks and clear images.
Powered by the same processor as the Neo QLED 4K line-up, Samsung OLED TVs also incorporate Real Depth Enhancer and OLED HDR Pro, as well as Motion Xcelerator 144Hz for smooth motion and quick response rates.
This year’s line-up includes the most accessible 98-inch TV range ever brought to market, the 98-inch Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV (DU7700) for RRP $6,755, with 98-inch options also available in Neo QLED and QLED 4K, improving access to ultra-large displays, enhanced by Samsung’s picture optimisation technology and SuperSlim design.
Supported by Tizen Operating System, the 98-inch range offers the Supersize Picture Enhancer, which uses AI for upscaling, noise reduction, tailored sharpness, and intelligent black enhancement, as well as streaming and gaming apps built-in.
Samsung also unveiled the new Music Frame, inspired by The Frame TV, which can display images, photographs or artwork, and play wireless audio with smart features. It can be used as a standalone device or paired with a TV and soundbar via Q-Symphony to augment bass and surround sound.
The 2024 line-up also includes the latest Q Series soundbar, Q990D incorporating an 11.1.4-channel setup with Wireless Dolby Atmos. It features innovations such as Sound Grouping for room-filling sound and an option for personal listening to enjoy content through compatible rear speakers.
The ultra-slim S800D soundbar delivers a sleek and space-saving design without compromising on audio quality.
All Samsung soundbars come with advanced audio technologies like Q-Symphony to seamlessly integrate Samsung TVs and soundbars for an orchestrated sound experience.
