Samsung has announced a suite of new devices overnight in its first virtual Galaxy Unpacked event hosted in Korea, including the Galaxy Note20 series smartphones, Tab S7 and S7+ tablets, Galaxy Watch3 smartwatch, Galaxy Buds Live earbuds, and Galaxy Z Fold2 foldable smartphone.

Galaxy Note20

The Galaxy Note20 series will be available in two versions: Galaxy Note20 Ultra, designed for Note fans who demand more power and productivity, and Galaxy Note20, for broader Note users looking to maximise work and play time.

A key update to the Note20 series is the enhanced S pen with more lifelike precision for improved accuracy and responsiveness, while five new Anywhere actions make touchless navigation even more simple.

The Note20 series allows users to capture, edit and share ideas across phone, tablet or Windows 10 PC with the Samsung Notes app now featuring auto-save and syncing capabilities, as well as the ability to annotate and highlight PDFs. Users can also record audio as they take notes and tap a word to go to that moment in the recording.

By combining the Microsoft Your Phone app with Link to Windows integration, users can access mobile apps directly from a Windows 10 PC, send messages, manage notifications, sync photos, and make and receive calls, as well as add their favourite apps to the Taskbar or Start menu.

Samsung is bringing its Microsoft partnership to the entertainment side of the Galaxy Note20 series. Beginning September 15, users will be able to play over 100 Xbox games directly from the cloud (beta) with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The gaming experience is further enhanced with AI game booster and Bluetooth audio response optimisation, and 240Hz touch latency on the Galaxy Note20 Ultra.

With 21:9 aspect ratio and 24fps recording, the Galaxy Note20 series 8K camera provides ultra-high resolution and professional quality video experiences with Pro Video mode for enhanced focus, audio, exposure, zoom speed control, and 120 fps video at FHD.

For the first time in the Note series, Galaxy Note20 Ultra offers a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals and automatically adjusts to content to optimise battery life. With an all-day intelligent battery and Super-Fast Charging capabilities, users receive more than 50% charge in just 30 minutes.

The Galaxy Note20 series is available for pre-order from today, Thursday 6 August, and will be available for purchase from Friday 21 August with RRPs from $1,499 for the Note20 and from $1,849 for the Note20 Ultra 5G.

Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+

Building on Samsung’s Galaxy 5G leadership, the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ unlock fast downloads and virtually lag-free streaming, which are complemented by a powerful processor, improved keyboard experience and improved S Pen with similar capabilities as the Galaxy Note20 series.

The Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ feature an immersive display with a 120 Hz refresh rate for cloud-based gaming and high-definition streaming. Galaxy Tab S7+ sports an extra-large 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display.
