Samsung Electronics Australia is expanding its lifestyle TV range with the release of the 65-inch The Serif and 85-inch The Frame for RRP $2,699 and $6,899 respectively.

Samsung Australia claims that 85-inch is now the fastest growing TV size in Australia with consumers also placing greater consideration around design and multi-purpose function.

According to Samsung Australia vice president of consumer electronics, Jeremy Senior, the company has received unprecedented demand for its lifestyle TVs, which continue to grow year-on-year.

“With more Australians wanting larger TVs for that big screen experience at home they are also trying to balance the design and aesthetics of the room. Expanding our size options for The Serif and The Frame meets the demand for those looking for a TV that fits into the overall style of the home but also produces an exceptional big screen experience,” he said.

“The Frame was the first lifestyle TV to launch in Australia and with many enhancing their living environments over the past 12 months, we’ve seen exceptional demand for this product. The Frame’s unique Art Mode offers the ability to access art from galleries all over the world, including The Louvre and it has proven to be a favourite feature for customers.

“On average, Australians have 2.7 TVs in their home and as our viewing habits evolve our lifestyle range continues to offer a smart TV experience coupled with Samsung’s leading QLED picture quality to enhance the overall home entertainment experience for when the TV is both on and off.”

The new 65-inch The Serif is added to the current line-up of 43-inch and 55-inch models. Created in 2015 in collaboration with globally renowned French furniture designers, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, The Serif combines form and function to blur the boundary between furniture and TV.

Aside from its unique design, The Serif offers Samsung QLED picture quality and 200Hz motion rate. Through NFC technology, the new model also supports Tap View to play content from a compatible smartphone on the TV screen by simply tapping the device on the sides of the TV.

The 85-inch The Frame complements the current line-up of 32-inch, 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch models.

Partnering with the Musée du Louvre, The Frame now boasts over 1,400 works of art from 43 different countries in 4K picture quality from museums and galleries around the world with a subscription to The Art Store.

This year, The Frame also features a slimmer profile and new customisable frame options including Beige, Teak, White and Brown.

Samsung’s eco-packaging solution is being used across all TV packaging to help responsibly manage waste, allowing customers to repurpose TV boxes into small-scale pieces of furniture. Both The Frame and The Serif also come with Samsung’s solar cell-powered remote.
