Samsung Electronics Australia has confirmed the local roll-out of its built-in cooking range, incorporating ovens, cooktops, rangehoods and dishwashers, which will be available from October.

To mark the launch, Samsung has partnered with Australian chef, restauranteur and food critic, Andy Allen, as the company’s exclusive cooking ambassador.

Powered by Samsung’s SmartThings connectivity, the new built-in cooking range has innovative features that simplify meal preparation using advanced technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

“We’re thrilled to bring further innovation to the kitchen, and for many, the heart of the home with Samsung’s new cooking range,” Samsung Australia vice president of consumer electronics, Jeremy Senior said.

“As Australians increasingly seeks time-efficiencies, our aim is to continually evolve to meet consumers’ changing needs, by having multiple touchpoints within the home. With the launch of Samsung cooking, we’re proud to facilitate a one brand connected home experience in Australia, and with that, play a role in redefining culinary exploration as Australians embrace the digital chef era.

“At Samsung, we’re excited to partner with Andy Allen, who has diverse experience in cooking and hospitality, together we can showcase the numerous ways Samsung technology can transform the end-to-end cooking experience. From remote monitoring and cooking through to recipe recommendation and meal planning, Australian households are set to experience culinary innovation with AI technology.”

The Samsung cooking range is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing households to remotely monitor and control their oven, cooktop and rangehood from their smartphone. With a built-in AI camera, professional quality cooking is made easy and shareable. Without needing to open the oven door, cooking can be optimised through recipe selection, and post-cook highlight videos created to share on social media.

Select oven models will include Dual Cook Flex, two compartments that can be set to two different temperatures, as well as when multi-cooking a flexible door means one zone can be checked without interrupting the other.

The Samsung built-in cooking range will be available from 29 October 2023 across and select retail partner stores including Harvey Norman and The Good Guys.
