Roborock has hosted an exclusive event in Cairns Queensland for retailers including JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, David Jones, Bing Lee, Robot Specialists, and Mobileciti, as well as key media and influencers, to launch the new S8 MaxV Ultra robotic cleaner in Australia, first unveiled at CES 2024.

Guests had the opportunity for hands-on product experience, participating in product demonstrations and speaking directly with the Roborock team.

The S8 MaxV Ultra is the company’s most powerful cleaning solution with market-leading 10,000Pa suction power, a unique robotic arm and an extra mop to clean more efficiently.

Unique to Roborock, the FlexiArm design automatically extends the side brush when corners and low areas under furniture are detected to sweep up dirt from hard-to-reach spaces with 100% corner coverage. The added spinning edge mopping system ensures precise cleanliness up to 1.68mm along edges.

Customer preferences are shifting towards products that are capable, intelligent, and can easily integrate with their smart home, according to Roborock founder and CEO, Richard Chang.

“Our mission at Roborock is to create companions that will make everyday tasks simpler and more enjoyable through technology. The S8 MaxV Ultra is the embodiment of that mission, combining smart technology with powerful cleaning to create a device that’s more than a vacuum—it’s a smart home companion that’s adaptable, efficient, and remarkably intuitive to use.”

Reactive AI 2.0 Obstacle Recognition and Avoidance System identify and avoid obstacles precisely and recognises dirt types to clean adaptively, while the PreciSense LiDAR Navigation System allows intelligent and precise navigation with mapping capabilities.

Activating SmartPlan Mode means the S8 MaxV Ultra will automatically determine how to clean based on the environment of the chosen cleaning area.

Users can control the S8 MaxV Ultra with voice commands ranging from start or stop a clean to clean a specific room. Explore more capabilities via the built-in voice assistant by saying ‘Hello Rocky’ even without a Wi-Fi connection. The robot is also compatible with Matter.

360 International & Roborock teams: Marcus Lai, Matthew Zhou, Peter Zhuang, Dan Cham, Ted Wu & Erica Shen.

With automatic pet recognition, activated in the app, the S8 MaxV Ultra can find pets when owners are away from home and deep clean around pet supplies.

The RockDock Ultra docking station ensures complete hands-free cleaning with auto emptying, refilling, dock self-cleaning, 60°C hot water mop washing, 60°C heated air drying, intelligent dirt detection, and auto detergent dispenser.

The S8 MaxV Ultra is available for MSRP $2,999 via Roborock and select retailers.
