Philips Domestic Appliances has confirmed a 20% increase in air fryer sales in Australia from 2019 to 2021, selling close to two million units during the period.

Six in 10 consumers (60%) believe that eating nutritious food is vital to staying healthy, while 78% believe that homemade meals are key to healthy eating.

The Philips Airfryer is the only air fryer with Fat Removal technology that separates and captures excess fat. It also offers fry, bake, grill, roast and reheat functions that use patented Rapid Air technology to cook food evenly in hot air with up to 90% less fat.

The latest addition to the range, the Philips Airfryer XXL with Smart Sensing technology takes the guesswork out of cooking by automatically adjusting time and temperature during the cooking process. It is easy to clean thanks to the QuickClean basket with a removable non-stick mesh insert and dishwasher-safe parts.

Users can pair the Philips Airfryer with the NutriU app to access up to 1,000 recipes, cooking tips, shopping lists and more.

“The increase in Philips Airfryer sales over the past three years is an indication that people are prioritising health and preparing more home-cooked meals. It is heartening to see Australians embrace healthy eating habits without compromising on their love for delicious food. We are committed to delivering meaningful innovation to help people lead healthier and happier lives,” Philips Domestic Appliances director and country lead for Australia and New Zealand, Geoff Hannaford said.
