Panasonic is strengthening its refrigeration line-up with two new 422-litre bottom mount models, the NR-BX421BUSA in stainless steel and NR-BX421BPKA in black glass.

Featuring state-of-the-art cooling and good storage technologies, the unique soft freezing Prime Fresh+ technology saves time required to defrost foods by storing meat and seafood, as well as stock, soups and sauce, at -3 degrees Celsius.

The Fresh Safe drawer, designed for fruit and vegetables, maintains 90% humidity and constant temperature to retain moisture and keep produce fresh for longer. The airtight drawer and indirect cooling help prevent spoilage. In addition, silver ions in the Ag Clean filter suppress up to 99.9% of bacteria and odours.

With three types of intelligent Econavi sensors – fridge door sensor, internal temperature sensor and room temperature sensor – usage is monitored across a three-week period and then cooling performance is optimised to reduce electricity bills.

Other key features in both models include LED lighting, tempered glass height adjustable shelves, and a twist ice tray.

The NR-BX421BUSA and NR-BX421BPKA are now available from leading retailers for RRP $1,549 and $1,649 respectively.
