Company expects strong demand.
The Panasonic UHD 4K ready Blu-ray player (DMP-UB900) is available in Australian electrical retailers from this month, priced at RRP $1,099. The Blu-ray player will be packaged with two Blu-ray discs – Creed and Mad Max: Fury Road, both optimised for 4K UHD Blu-ray with HDR.
Panasonic group manager for audio visual and imaging, Sophie Barton told Appliance Retailer, “We are excited to be releasing the Panasonic DMP-UB900 as demand for 4K video continues to expand. This new technology offers a fantastic video viewing experience for those who demand uncompromised quality in picture and sound.
“It’s truly a market leading Ultra HD Blu-ray ready player, which reaffirms Panasonic’s category leadership. We have already seen a great deal of anticipation for this product from retailers.”
The DMP-UB900 offers improved audio quality, equipped with an optimised, large-capacity power supply unit. It features many select high quality audio parts and components in its audio circuits for rich sound expression. It also supports high-resolution audio formats such as DSD, ALAC, FLAC and WAV.
Panasonic’s Blu-ray Players also offer convenient features such as Netflix support, DLNA for connection to the home network, web browsing and 4K upscaling.
Panasonic released more Blu-ray products in May including the 760GN Blu-ray Disc Recorder with 1 terabyte hard disc with twin HD tuners (RRP $749), the 460GN Blu-ray Disc Recorder with 500GB hard disc and twin HD tuners (RRP $549), the 560GN Blu-ray Disc Player with 500GB hard disc recorder and twin HD tuners (RRP $599), the 260GN hard disc recorder with 1 terabyte hard disc drive and twin HD tuners (RRP $549) as well as three smart Blu-ray Players ranging in price from RRP $149 to $249 that are currently available to retailers.
