MELBOURNE: Castel Electronics, the local distributor of Toshiba branded products, has appointed Paul Astbury as product and training manager for Toshiba braded products, following the departure of Peter Burnham from the role prior to Christmas.
Burnham left the company to return to the same role he resigned from before joining Castel – product development manager at TEAC Australia.
Before joining Castel, Astbury worked for 10 years with Yamaha Australia in product and marketing roles managing audio visual and home theatre products.
Castel has also appointed Jason Oh as account manager for specialist and commercial channels in New South Wales. Oh previously worked with Sharp Corporation for specialist and commercial channels.
Oh reports directly to recently promoted New South Wales state manager, Peter Shamoon, who has been with the company for five years.
