Offers greater camera features.

The latest addition to the OPPO R9s smartphone range delivers camera upgrades with improved features that include front and rear-facing cameras. The front facing camera has been paired with a large f/2.0 aperture and OPPO’S screen flash technology to capture crystal clear selfies even in low light conditions.

At the centre of the rear-facing camera is the all new Sony IMX398 sensor, coupled with an extra wide f/1.7 aperture, improving low-light performance and noise reduction. Additionally, the camera uses fast Dual PDAF (phase detection autofocus), for snapping clear images at a moment’s notice.

Other enhanced features on the R9s include 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM plus 64GB of on-board storage that can be expanded by an additional 256GB providing extra storage and power for photos, videos and multitasking. The device runs on ColorOS 3.0, based on Android 6.0 powered with a 3,010 mAh battery. It sports a ‘six-string antenna design, which operates on six frequency ranges, selecting the best one for 4G and Wi-Fi signals.

OPPO saw significant growth in 2016, according to OPPO Australia executive director Michael Tran, “and we expect this to continue in 2017 with the launch of the R9s.”We are quickly becoming the favourite affordable premium device thanks to the high-end features, functionality and performance usually found on flagship devices,” he said.

The R9s will be available for pre-order from selected retailers now and generally available from all partners, including JB Hi-Fi, Optus, Woolworths Mobile and new carriers Vodafone and Virgin Mobile, from January 30.
