Omega Appliances has launched a new website to assist consumers in finding the right product for them and then to direct them to their nearest retailer for purchase.

Located at omegaappliances.com.au, the site showcases the brand’s built-in and freestanding ovens, cooktops, rangehoods, microwaves and dishwashers.

There’s a dedicated page for Omega’s consumer promotions plus a guide the brand’s showrooms in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane. There is no selling direct to consumers on this site; under the Where To Buy page header, interested parties are directed to the websites of authorised retailers, such as The Good Guys, Harvey Norman, Domayne, Joyce Mayne, Winning Appliances, Bing Lee and 2nds World.

“I think consumers will find the website very user friendly, with online product and feature information videos,” said product development manager Darren Sharvell. “Users can click on the new feature icons within each category, and they will not just show the models with that feature, they will also take you to the video explanation.”

These video explanations cover topics and features such as induction cooking, rangehood recirculation and cooktop flame failure. While some consumers might prefer embedded YouTube videos instead of Flash playback, these provide a quick and accessible primer for some of the more mysterious features of modern cooking appliances.
