Officeworks has opened its 170th store and 17th store in Western Australia in Canning Vale, 22km south of Perth.

The new 1,915 square metre store comes three months after Officeworks boosted its commitment to the West Coast with a state-of-the-art customer fulfilment centre in the state. This milestone store is the third Officeworks store to open nationally over the last six months and the first store opening in 2024.

It offers the same familiar layout and service zones that Officeworks’ customers know, showcasing its 40,000+ product range across technology, stationery, art and education resources. The new store offers Print & Create services and new self-service kiosks, as well as wheelchair and pram access.

The store has created 30 new jobs in the local community and, to support local students and equitable access to educational resources, the store team has chosen to donate $2,000 in cash and Officeworks gift cards to the Waalitj Foundation’s Deadly Sista Girlz program and the Tribe Early Learning Centre.

Officeworks Canning Vale store business manager, Sean Looker said, “Our team is excited to open our doors and connect with the Canning Vale community. We can’t wait to help make bigger things happen for our local schools and businesses to help inspire and support them to work, learn, create and connect.

“We are a team of 30 spanning a range of backgrounds and experience, 14 of us are Canning Vale locals and a further eight are from the surrounding suburbs including Southern River, Harrisdale, Piara Waters and Atwell.

“After living in Canning Vale for 18 years, I’m proud to be offered the opportunity to open the 170th Officeworks store. I know the locals are going to love the addition of Officeworks in our community.”

As part of ongoing commitments to sustainability, the store features 100kW of solar PV, LED lighting and a building energy management system. Customers can shop for plant based, reusable and recycled products from the People and Planet range, and recycle unwanted products such as printers, laptops, pens and markers in store as part of the Bring it Back program.

Canning Vale residents and surrounding communities are invited to attend a Community Fun Day on Saturday, February 24 from 11am to 1pm to enjoy free activities such as arts and crafts, face painting, giveaways, complimentary coffee and more.

The new store is located at Tenancy 1, 215 Campbell Rd, Canning Vale. It is open from 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm on Saturdays and 11am to 5pm on Sundays.
