Motorola has unveiled three new Motorola edge devices including the edge 30 Ultra, edge 30 Fusion and edge 30 Neo.

Motorola says it’s setting new standards in performance, imaging, entertainment and design with its edge devices to push the boundaries for traditional flagship smartphones.

“The new Motorola edge smartphones combine the latest in technology, outstanding design and experiences with colours never seen before and an inspiring fragrance to surprise and delight our customers as they open the box. Our signature Motorola fragrance embodies the Motorola brand found subtly in the box with the edge 30 Neo at launch,” Motorola Australia and New Zealand managing director, Kurt Bonnici said.

“In early September, Motorola hosted over 500 attendees for the global launch event in Milan – the fashion capital of the world. Our edge 30 handsets incorporate many firsts for Motorola including the world’s first 200MP smartphone camera on the edge 30 Ultra and a full charge in less than 15 minutes with fast turbo charging from the 125-watt charger included in the box.

“We are also proud to announce a smartphone exclusive partnership with Pantone delivering a stylish colour palette to the portfolio to bring Motorola to the forefront of the latest styles and trends. The 2022 Pantone Colour of the Year ‘Very Peri’ features on the edge 30 Ultra.

“With the environment in mind, the new Motorola edge products are the first to launch in sustainable packaging, reinforcing our commitment to use 60% recycled materials and 50% less single use plastic in our packaging.”

In an exclusive interview with Appliance Retailer, Bonnici added: “We are excited to be working with our retail partners on the launch of the latest Motorola edge products.

“The new edge products give Motorola scale into the premium tier with exciting features in the edge 30 Ultra with the first 200MP camera on a smartphone and a 125-watt charger included in the box. We have Motorola E and Motorola G in the entry and mid-tier and edge is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate our capabilities in the flagship space.

“We are supporting the launch of Motorola edge with our first TVC in over 12 years which is a 12-week campaign that runs until Christmas Eve featuring the edge family. We are really driving awareness and demand for the Motorola edge devices, and we hope Australians are as excited about these products as we are.”

The Motorola edge 30 Ultra boasts a 200MP main camera sensor – the industry’s highest resolution camera to date – and 60MP front camera with one of the highest resolutions available on a smartphone. Its 6.67-inch pOLED Full HD+ display is nearly bezel-free complete with 3D curved glass on the front and a soft matte finish on the back.

Redefining standards for fast charging, the edge 30 Ultra comes with a 125-watt charger to deliver the fastest TurboPower charging ever with 0 to 100% battery taking just 12 to 14 minutes. The device also comes with the most advanced Snapdragon mobile platform yet, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which provides breakthrough 5G speeds, in addition to Snapdragon Elite Gaming features.

Motorola’s edge 30 Ultra will be available from October in Interstellar Black for RRP $1,399 from JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Officeworks, Big W, Mobileciti and Lenovo online.

The Motorola edge 30 Fusion features a 6.55-inch pOLED Full HD+ display with HDR10+ and 144Hz refresh rate. It delivers TurboPower 68-watt charging, two large stereo speakers enabled with Dolby Atmos and the Snapdragon 888+ 5G mobile platform.

Motorola’s edge 30 Fusion is now available in Cosmic Gray and Solar Gold for RRP $899 from JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Officeworks, Big W and Mobileciti and Lenovo online store.

The Motorola edge 30 Neo is the first device available in the Pantone Colour of the Year for 2022, Very Peri.

The slim and lightweight design incorporates a 6.28-inch pOLED display and LED band that wraps around the camera housing to notify users of incoming alerts with different lighting. The 64MP camera on the back is supported by a 32MP front camera with Quad Pixel technology.

Like the edge 30 Fusion, it also has TurboPower 68-watt charging with the addition of wireless charging. Motorola’s edge 30 Neo will be available from October in Very Peri and Black Onyx for RRP $599 from JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Officeworks, Big W, Mobileciti and Lenovo online.
