Motorola has launched its latest edge devices – the motorola edge 50 pro and motorola edge 50 fusion, as well as its moto buds+ with sound by Bose.

The motorola edge 50 pro features contoured edges and a sandblasted aluminium frame, available with a vegan leather finish in Black Beauty and Luxe Lavender, or a special edition pearl finish in Moonlight Pearl, which is handcrafted in Italy, meaning every device features a unique pattern. Soft and smooth to touch, the lightweight design also has IP68 underwater and dust protection.

The motorola edge 50 pro is packed with a complete camera experience, from camera activation using moto gestures, to cutting edge hardware, a new AI-powered Photo Enhancement Engine, and colour validation image edition capabilities.

The 50MP main camera features the widest aperture available in a smartphone (f/1.4), letting in 64% more light for better low-light performance and a soft naturally blurred background. The 10MP 3x telephoto camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) is supported by Super Zoom for 30x the distance. The 50MP front-facing camera is one of the highest resolution selfie cameras available on a smartphone.

Equipped with moto ai, the motorola edge 50 pro introduces a suite of AI camera capabilities, including Adaptive Stabilisation, Auto Focus Tracking, Long Exposure Mode and Action Shot. In a future update, users will also be able to access more enhanced AI editing tools through Google Photos, Motorola’s native gallery application for photos and videos.

The motorola edge 50 pro delivers a nearly borderless 6.7-inch pOLED display, Super HD (1220p) resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It supports Dolby Atmos sound through the device and Dolby Head Trackingwhen paired with moto buds+. The motorola edge 50 pro features two large stereo speakers, while Snapdragon Sound technology ensures a seamless Bluetooth audio experience.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Mobile Platform is supported by 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The motorola edge 50 pro is packed with 125W TurboPower charging capabilities and 50W TurboPower wireless charging capabilities.  

The motorola edge 50 pro arrives with Android 14 and offer 3 OS updates, four years of bi-monthly security updates and 24 months of warranty.

The motorola edge 50 fusion comes in Forest Blue or Marshmallow Blue with a vegan leather backing, as well as Hot Pink. With an IP68 rating and Corning Gorilla Glass 5, the edge 50 fusion is resilient against dust, water, and accidental drops.

The camera system incorporates a 50MP main Ultra Pixel camera with a Sony sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS), 13MP ultrawide camera, integrated Macro Vision and 32MP front camera with Quad Pixel technology for improved low-light sensitivity. Motorola has partnered with Google Photos to bring Auto Enhance capabilities, automatically improving colour and lighting.

The motorola edge 50 fusion’s 6.7-inch Full HD+ endless edge pOLED display meets cinematic standards for colour range, brightness, colour accuracy, and contrast level. It also supports over a billion shades of true-to-life colour with improved brightness and contrast. The device delivers Hi-Res certified sound, stereo speakers and support for Dolby Atmos. In addition to a 5,000mAh battery, 68W TurboPower charging provides a full day charge in just 15 minutes.

Motorola is also introducing the new moto buds+ with Sound by Bose (RRP $249) featuring Hi-Res Audio and Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) in a modern, water-repellent design. The earbuds are compatible with Dolby Head Trackingwhen paired with the motorola edge 50 pro for a more natural and multidimensional sound experience.

Users can enjoy up to eight hours of playtime with a single charge and up to three more hours of listening with just 10 minutes of charging. Users can also benefit from wireless charging capabilities.
