Australian-owned family business, MOD Appliances, has been awarded Australia’s ‘number one juicer for 2022’ by, for the sixth consecutive year.

MOD Appliances has two product offerings, a Cold Press juicer, a new high- powered blender, the Blend Pro and new eco-friendly accessories including coconut bowls and stainless-steel straw sets.

According to the company the business recorded its biggest sales week ever in July 2021 and celebrated its biggest sales month in six years in August 2021. Online store sessions increased by 65% and juicer sales spiked by 52%, with August surpassing this by a further 22% on juicer sales, with a 74% increase in a two-month period.

The uptick in sales is said to be driven by increased consumer interest in healthy eating in response to the pandemic and other health and safety measures.

Unlike traditional juicers, cold-press technology reduces preparation time and delivers maximum nutrient and juice extraction. A wide-mouth chute also enables easy processing of extra chunky pieces and make nut milks and sorbet. The juice extraction including the pulp, is ideal for creating recipes such as carrot cake, beetroot gnocchi or protein bliss balls.

In 2019, the company embarked on more sustainable packaging alternatives while ensuring maximum product safety in transit, reducing plastic packaging by 95% in the past 12 month. The appliances are made from BPA free materials and carry five-year parts and 20-year motor warranty, and come in black, white, silver and red. RRP for the Cold Press juicer is $499 and the Blend Pro is $399, available from Kogan and Catch.

Since launching in Australia in 2015, the MOD Cold Press Juicer is now being exported to New Zealand, Europe and most recently the US.
