Emerging from a strong field, Miele dishwashers have earned Canstar Blue’s ‘Most Satisfied Customers Award’ for 2014, with a 5 star rating for overall satisfaction based Canstar Blue’s annual survey of Australians who have purchased a dishwasher in the last few years.

In alphabetical order, Asko, Bosch, Dishlex, Electrolux, Fisher and Paykel, LG, Samsung and Westinghouse all received four stars for overall satisfaction and Whirlpool received three stars.

Miele scored five stars for performance, reliability, quietness and internal layout, and four stars for ease of use and warranty/service. The premium brand’s lowest score of three stars came in value for money.

Other standouts in the results included Dishlex, receiving five stars for value for money, ease of use, and warranty /service. Asko finished with five star ratings for performance, reliability, and ease of use.  LG received five stars for value for money and Electrolux scored five stars for ease of use.

The average price of the a dishwasher is $1,056, Canstar Blue said, based on its calculations using RRPs from Appliances Online and models range from $425 to $2,499. Survey respondents said they expected their dishwasher to last eight years.

Canstar Blue said, “Brands must have received at least 30 responses to be included. Results are comparative and it should be noted that brands receiving three stars have still achieved a satisfaction measure of at least six out of 10.”
