The Air Conditioning Refrigeration Building Services Exhibition (ARBS), Australia’s leading event for these sectors, was held at the ICC Sydney last week, bringing together over 340 exhibitors and more than 9,000 attendees over three days.

Exhibitors included major air conditioning and refrigeration suppliers that shared their feedback on the Expo with Appliance Retailer.

Hisense was a first time exhibitor at ARBS 2024 in Sydney.

“It was a resounding success for the brand and our team. Over three days we had the pleasure of meeting and engaging with countless partners and customers, both new and old, against the backdrop of Hisense’s show-stopping booth – packed with innovative, industry-leading HVAC solutions, thoughtfully engineered with the modern Australian home in mind,” Hisense executive general manager of HVAC, Peter Rybinski said.

“The week also saw us host a launch event for Hisense HVAC at Squires Landing, among the bright lights of VIVID 2024. We hosted many of our partners and customers, celebrating the important milestone and giving away some amazing prizes.

“From our innovative VRF solutions, to ConnectLife, our holistic home control app, we’ve certainly made an impact in the last few months and are blown away by the positive reception we have received. The team and I are excited to carry this momentum forward as we continue rolling out innovative HVAC solutions to Australian homes across the country.”

LG highlighted its latest innovations, including a first-look at residential air purifiers – the LG AEROTower and AEROFurniture – a design led range that combines style with function that will be launching later this year. 

“With design at the centre, attendees experienced our new Round Cassette indoor AC solution, that not only provides spaces of all sizes with flexible airflow but adds a luxurious look and feel to indoor commercial spaces,” LG Electronics Australia technical marketing manager and product specialist for air solution, Jay Park said.

“We have a series of key launches yet to come in 2024 and ARBS was the ideal platform for the industry to have a first-look at LG’s innovative HVAC solutions.”

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia (MHIAA) showcased its range of award-winning wall mounted split system and ducted systems, as well as commercial capabilities through the extensive VRF range and patented Air-to Water product, Q-ton.

The stand design was built to give all attendees an experience tailored to their business needs, from residential to large-scale commercial projects. Attendees had the opportunity to get up close with new products including the Hydrolution Pro Air-Source Inverter Heat Pump (Chillers) which utilises advanced proprietary innovation to deliver heating and cooling technology and Hydrolution Ezy, an air-to-water heat pump for heating, cooling and producing sanitary hot water for residential applications.

Visitors could also enjoy freshly made pizza, Japanese beer, gin, vodka and whiskey tasting and interactive games with the opportunity to compete and win a Japanese whiskey bottle.

MHIAA general manager of sales, Graham Hamilton said all staff were delighted to be once again exhibiting at ARBS and networking with attendees.

“At MHIAA we were extremely proud and excited to be once again exhibiting at ARBS this year in Sydney. While it has been some time since ARBS was hosted in Sydney, we were delighted to be welcoming back this great event and meeting and networking with attendees,” he said.

“ARBS continues to be a fantastic opportunity for all manufacturers including MHIAA to showcase a diverse range of residential and commercial offerings to the HVAC market. For our stand this year, we were able to showcase a significant line up of existing and new products that will be available in the Australian market, and we look forward to opportunities explored with all attendees.”

Mitsubishi Electric presented its product range from Mitsubishi Electric and Climaveneta brands.

Olimpia Splendid displayed some of its latest heating, cooling and dehumidification products.

“We also highlighted some of our flagship air conditioners with no external unit including our Unico Pro, Unico Tower and Unico Evo,” Olimpia Splendid marketing and NPD manager, Peter Burnham said.

“The Olimpia Splendid team included managing director, Gregor Black, national sales manager for commercial, Aymeric de Rosbo, service and technical support manager, John Tsagiannidis and our special guest, head of sales for Europe, Fabrizio Fanelli from our Italian head office.

“The show went very well for us and we look forward to participating again in Melbourne 2026.”

TCL was a first-time exhibitor at this year’s ARBS event and the company was delighted with the positive feedback from visitors on the stand who were impressed by the diverse offering.
