Leading Edge Group (LEG) has undertaken a refresh and restructure of its category management team.

Cameron Harvey (pictured top left) has been appointed general manager of technology, overseeing appliances, computers, electronics and Smart Choice Tech Repairs, following his success in revitalising the home appliance and audio visual category since joining LEG at the end of 2022. Harvey will focus on driving engagement, revenue and membership growth.

Commenting on his new role, Harvey said: “I am incredibly excited and thankful to work alongside this great team of talented and collaborative heads of category. Together, we will re-shape the group both from a member and supplier perspective and take the group in new directions such as managed services providers (MSP) and Leading Edge Commercial to assist with B2B hardware solutions. I encourage any independent retailer who wants to grow to get in contact with our team.”

Harvey is succeeded by former Harvey Norman proprietor, Jessica Ashburner (pictured top right) who has been with the group since 2023. She brings a customer service and merchandising flare to the group and is well liked by members and suppliers.

In the computers team, Jerami Grassi (pictured bottom left) has accepted the role of head of computers. He previously oversaw the day-to-day operations of Precise PCs in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, a store that has been a LEG member for 15 years. Precise PCs was one of the first MSP in the Tweed Heads locality. Grassi is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a director of his local chamber of commerce and supports the Australian Red Cross as a local team lead.

“Leading Edge has been a part of my life for nearly five years. During this time, I’ve gained a key understanding of their role in supporting independent retailers across Australia. I am eager to leverage my diverse background, particularly in MSP and member experience to strategically guide our group into new territory,” Grassi said.

Talin Danielian (pictured bottom right) will continue in her role as head of electronics and Smart Choice Tech Repairs, having been with the group for nearly four years.
