Leading Edge Group is offering a free membership for three months to all impacted Godfreys franchisees and employees who wish to continue trading independently. Following the three-month period, a monthly flat rate a few hundred dollars can be negotiated.
The news comes as Godfreys winds down operations following an unsuccessful sale process.
“We understand the impact this will have on many of the franchise stores who may want to trade independently or store staff who may wish to go into business. As a supporter of independent retail, we can streamline the sign-up process and offer a credit limit of up to $20,000 same day, ready for orders the next day,” Leading Edge Group general manager of technology, Cameron Harvey told Appliance Retailer.
“We can provide immediate access to major vacuum suppliers such as Electrolux, iRobot, LG, Shark, VAX, Tineco, EUFY and other household brands. For those who wish to expand into whitegoods or browngoods, we can help with that too.
“In addition to this, through our member benefits and services, we can offer preferred rates with POS suppliers, Commonwealth Bank EFTPOS, Zippay, Afterpay, store fitout and additional services to ensure members are operational as quick as possible.”
