WOW Sight & Sound has delayed the unveiling of its new online superstore, which was set to launch on June 1, due to a few "hiccups" in the development  The site is still displaying a teaser message and video that has been on the homepage since May, however the countdown to the June launch date has been replaced with the message “Online Entertainment SuperStore Launching Shortly Stay Tuned…”.

The website was originally set to launch on 1 June…

…but WOW Sight & Sound has pushed back the launch of its new online SuperStore indefinitely.

As Current.com.au exclusively reported in May, the WOW brand name was purchased by Gold Coast couple Darryl and Sharon Williams, trading under the company G & M Direct 2 U Pty Ltd. The Williams bought rights for the online branch of the business, with the intent to relaunch it as an online-only consumer electronics e-commerce venture.

When Current.com.au contacted company spokesperson Sharon Williams today for comment on the delay, she said that the company intended to launch on June 1 or “thereabouts” and that “we’ve probably had just a few little hiccups, but it’s on its way.

“At the moment we’re putting all our energy on launching the website,” she said.
