Risk of electric shock.
Kmart Australia has recalled its Home & Co 2-Slice stainless steel toaster (TL-136) as some toasters have a faulty switch, causing the heating element to remain live when the lever is up and the toaster appears to be turned off.
This poses risk of electric shock if the user makes contact with the heating element. Customers are advised to cease using the product immediately and return it to any Kmart store for a full refund.
The toaster was sold nationally and internationally from 1 September, 2016 to 1 November, 2017.
