Klipsch is introducing two new true wireless earphones with active noise cancellation (ANC) technology and artificial intelligence (AI) for a truly hands-free experience.

The Klipsch T5 II True Wireless ANC earphones are powered by an industry-first built-in Bragi operating system with embedded AI for a hands-free and gesture-controlled experience. For example, users can accept incoming calls by nodding their head, with new functionality to be introduced over the life of the product.

Another industry-first for the true wireless earphones is integrated Dirac HD Sound technology that optimises sound performance for clear, rich and more balanced sound, while dual-mic noise cancellation maximises noise cancellation.

Offering up to seven hours of battery life (five hours with ANC) and 21 hours in the case (15 hours with ANC), Klipsch’s T5 II True Wireless ANC earphones can be charged wirelessly using any Qi-compatible charging pad or using the included USB-C cable.

The earphones are available in copper, gunmetal and silver from all Klipsch earphone dealers for RRP $429.

As the official headphone and portable audio partner of the McLaren Formula 1 team, Klipsch is also introducing the T5 II True Wireless ANC McLaren Edition earphones (pictured above).

Featuring accents of the McLaren’s signature papaya colour, real carbon fibre and co-moulded shell that mimics the tread pattern of Formula 1’s intermediate racing tyre, the McLaren Edition earphones claim to charge twice as fast as any other earphones thanks to NuCurrent wireless charging technology.

The earphones can be charged using the included dual position wireless charging pad, any Qi-compatible charging pad or the included USB-C cable.

The T5 II True Wireless ANC McLaren Edition earphones are available from all Klipsch earphone dealers for RRP $499.

Both Klipsch earphones are compatible with the Klipsch Connect app to make product updates, EQ adjustments, access the quick start guide and troubleshoot, detect device battery status, and manage noise cancelling settings.

Delivering a frictionless listening experience

Klipsch senior product manager for the lifestyle division, Vlad Grodzinskiy said the Klipsch T5 II True Wireless ANC earphones have been designed for tech-forward, early adopters who want a frictionless experience.

“Unlike conventional true wireless earphones, our product adds convenience through hands-free controls and audio performance with Dirac HD Sound. The embedded AI has been taught to recognise head movements as actions, called Bragi Moves, so nodding your head to answer an incoming call and shaking your head to hang up,” he explained.

“The earphones know when you receive a call or start playing music and can be configured to turn on transparency mode or cancel noise automatically. These are called Side Kicks, which are customisable features in the Klipsch Connect app to select what you want the earphones to do when. AI can automatically detect and cancel out noise when using transparency mode – a feature we’re calling Noise Shield.

“The T5 II ANC are the first true wireless earphones to use Dirac HD Sound. By correcting impulse and magnitude frequency response, it drastically improves music staging, clarity, voice and bass fidelity.

“We have developed a winning formula for cancelling noise. With our patented oval ear tips and ergonomic fit, we already start with an advantage in blocking outside sound because the earphones create a tighter seal with the ear.”

The McLaren Edition includes a dual position wireless charging pad with one side dedicated to charging a smartphone and the other side specially calibrated for charging the T5 II ANC earphones at the fastest rate possible.

This was achieved by designing the charging case, wireless charging coils and charging pad in unison, as well as using carbon fibre to decrease the case weight by more than 40%.
