KitchenAid Australia has welcomed Soner Omac as managing director for the APAC region. He succeeds Richard Thom who has stepped down to pursue new opportunities and spend more time with his family.

Thom had spent the past 14 years at Whirlpool Corporation and his tenure as managing director for KitchenAid APAC has been marked by exemplary leadership, unwavering dedication and a commitment to excellence.

Omac is a seasoned executive with a track record in leadership roles across diverse industries. He spent the past nine years at Dyson, most recently as country manager for New Zealand. His experience spans various geographies including Australia, New Zealand, and Asia, and encompasses brands such as Hanes, Fujitsu General and DHL.

With an MBA from James Cook University, Omac brings a wealth of knowledge and a fresh perspective to his new role, leading the team with a focus on driving growth, fostering innovation and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Omac reports to KitchenAid Small Appliances executive vice president, Ludovic Beaufils, who expressed confidence in Omac’s ability to build upon the foundation laid by Thom. “We are thrilled to welcome Soner to the KitchenAid family.
