SYDNEY: Sony Australia general manager of consumer AV and IT sales, David Hargreaves, today announced the appointment of Tim Miller, previously from liquor company Pernod Ricard, to the newly created position of group sales manager.
“I’ve talked about getting our structure right so I’d like to announce a new face and a new structure to our team,” Hargreaves told delegates at the opening session of the company’s Experience More trade show this morning.
“Some of you may have met him already but I’m sure many more will meet him tonight. I’m pleased to welcome Tim Miller to our team. Tim joins us from Pernod Ricard in the newly created role of group sales manager. He brings a lot of experience from the FMCG world and specifically category management and I know he’s looking forward to meeting and working with you all,” he said.
Reporting to Hargreaves, Miller will head up the retail account management team and will work closely with the state sales managers at a strategic level.
Hargreaves told retailers that Miller will work in conjunction with Sony’s marketing communications and product marketing teams “to ensure we are providing the right solutions for you”.
He also announced the appointment of three new sales representatives which he said represented the company’s “commitment to the exciting times ahead”.
