BRISBANE: The Sakar International product portfolio, including portable audio, gaming, IT and digital camera accessories, will be distributed for the first time in Australia and New Zealand, through E3 Style Pty Ltd.
According to Sakar, it sees the Australian market as a perfect fit for the USA-developed product line, which has been successful already in its home country in Wal-Mart, Kmart, Fry’s Electronics and Tesco.
“The success has been attributed to our low cost, high quality, and high value position of the range,” said Sakar International vice president, Sammy Saka.
According to E3, Sakar products will be successful in Australia for the above reasons.
“We are very excited to be the exclusive market representative for Sakar. With the Sakar product range and E3’s business model it means that our retail partners now have access to a full line up of mp3, digital camera and gaming accessories at impulse price points,” said E3 managing director, Jill Mulder.
“For many retailers, the addition of Sakar products may also represent an opportunity to consolidate their vendor base, making these large categories much easier to manage.
Sakar’s range includes a ‘fun kid’s’ line-up of digital cameras under RRP $50, plus a slew of ‘Made for iPod’ accessories including skins/socks, cases, armbands, wireless transmitters and earbuds, along with accessories for the Microsoft Zune and other-branded mp3 players.
Sakar’s head office is in New Jersey, with over 140 employees, while products are manufactured in China.
E3 is an AV and IT distribution specialist in Australia, based in Brisbane. It also represents Philips accessories and various OEM equipment specialists.
