JB Hi-Fi has opened a new store in Invercargill, the southernmost city in New Zealand, as it continues its expansion around the country.

Located in Invercargill Central, the store has created 25 new jobs for the city and promises an unparalleled shopping experience that embodies the unique JB Hi-Fi style.

JB Hi-Fi Invercargill store manager, Tony Keay said after months of intensive training, local employees have become part of the JB Hi-Fi family.

“We’re not just opening a store; we’re becoming a part of Invercargill’s story, and we look forward to welcoming customers through our doors.”

Commenting on the store opening, JB Hi-Fi New Zealand managing director, Tim Edwards said, “We’ve seen strong demand from Invercargill for some time, so it’s great to have a store presence in this first-class mall. We want to provide the best customer experience for Kiwis – wherever they are in the country. The new store will offer more choice and a unique shopping experience.

“The support we’ve seen so far has surpassed our expectations. Opening weekend alone saw over 10,000 people through the door, making it the busiest store in New Zealand on opening weekend. Since then, we’ve continued to see great support from the community with 2,500 people lining up to shop at the recent grand opening and mate’s rates event.”
