JB Hi-Fi has close to 200 stores across Australia and New Zealand and will be expanding its presence with the opening a new store at Bathurst City Shopping Centre in July, approximately 200km west of Sydney, NSW.
JB Hi-Fi area manager, Brent Jenkins said, “We are excited to announce that Australia’s biggest range of consumer electronics at great prices will soon be available to customers in Bathurst”.
“I am looking forward to leading the team and opening the new store and excited about providing the best brands across a wide range of consumer electronics, entertainment and home appliances to customers in the Bathurst area along with the well-known expert advice from the team at JB Hi-Fi.”
JB Hi-Fi operations director, Peter Green added, “Opening a new store is always a proud moment for our people and none more so than the team who has worked so hard in the development of the Bathurst store. Investment to build the store is around $1 million and it will provide 32 new jobs across permanent and casual roles. The team will also undergo comprehensive customer service and product training as part of the JB Hi-Fi induction process to ensure the local community receives the best of what JB has to offer”.
Last week, JB Hi-Fi posted an advertisement on its website which read, “JB Hi-Fi Home is opening a new store in Bathurst. We are currently recruiting for the new store and would like to achieve a good mix of new and experienced staff. Positions include store manager, sales and media manager, sales coordinator, media coordinators and advisors, salespeople, stock inventory and office administrator.”
