Communications/Mobile Phones:

“We saw really good growth in communications (mobile phones). It’s all about outright handsets which are growing strongly but this has impacted our GP dollars.”

Computers:

“We continue to build on our number one market position. Our growth was particularly pleasing when you take into consideration the global trends for both PC and Mac.”

Fitness and Wearables:

“We saw double digit growth with continue market leadership particularly around key gifting events.”

Visual:

“We had a really strong second half building on the momentum coming out of Christmas and Boxing Day and it was assisted by later model changeover this year but we are really leading the market in visual.”

Software:

“Software represents 14.1% of sales by value (down from 23.3% four years ago). We consider music, movies and games a critical part of all new stores. Of note, is maintaining our in-store engagement, enabling impulse purchases in drive aisles and more considered purchases from our deep back catalogue.”
