iRobot will release its most intelligent and powerful robotic vacuum to date, the Roomba s9+ into the Australian market in late September. It features Clean Base automatic dirt disposal and up to 40 times the suction power of predecessor models with Power Boost technology increasing suction for carpets and rugs.

Clean Base automatic dirt disposal offers the deepest clean yet with an advanced 3D sensor, new cleaning system and PerfectEdge technology with dual rubber brushes that are 30% wider than previous models and a specially designed corner brush that uses five angled arms to grab dirt and debris from corners and along walls.

iRobot’s patented iAdapt 3.0 Navigation with vSLAM technology helps the Roomba s9+ efficiently navigate the home by keeping track of where it has been and where it is yet to clean. The new 3D sensor constantly scans what’s immediately ahead of the robot at a rate of 25 times per second and Imprint Smart Mapping technology means the robot learns the floorplan for users to choose which rooms are cleaned and when.

Keep Out Zones allows users to clean with added control, actively avoiding the areas such as pet bowls and toys. Once a Keep Out Zone is set in the iRobot Home app, this will remain in place for all future cleaning jobs.

The robot can be scheduled to clean via the iRobot Home app or by pressing the Clean button on the unit. Alternatively, cleaning can be initiated using voice control when the robot is paired with Google Assistant or Alexa enabled devices.

The Roomba s9+ features an industry-first Anti-Allergen System for robot vacuums that traps and locks pollen and mould allergens, keeping them from escaping the robot or the Clean Base charging station. Its high-efficiency filter captures 99% of mould, pollen, and dust mite allergens.

The iRobot Roomba s9+ robot vacuum is available for pre-purchase online with an expected RRP of $2,899.
