In addition to more than 200 pre-registered retailers and distributors from Germany, Messe Berlin has confirmed that over 250 international retailers and trade visitors from more than 50 countries have already pre-registered to use the Business, Retail & Meeting Lounges at the physical fair in Berlin.

The IFA B2B lounges provide an exclusive meeting point for retailers and manufacturers to coordinate efficient appointments and execute successful face-to-face discussions. Only pre-registered trade visitors are admitted to this exclusive area in the City Cube.

The Business, Retail & Meeting Lounges are supplemented by a reseller area, which has been bringing together trade visitors and exhibitors as a B2B marketplace for 20 years in cooperation with the Global Fairs TT fair.

Personal, trustful contact is and remains an essential foundation for successful business relations, according to IFA director Dirk Koslowski.

“In order to support the industry and trade accordingly, meeting places in the IFA Business, Retail & Meeting Lounges will be offered as part of the IFA 2020 Special Edition. Major retail partners have already announced their interest in participating in Berlin.

“Through the IFA 2020 Special Edition, we would like to once again provide the best possible support to retailers and industry in their preparations for the end-of-year business. The IFA Business, Retail & Meeting Lounges are the first opportunity to meet face-to-face again and to coordinate strategies with retail partners.

“Even though the dimension and brand variety of this lounge area is inevitably limited due to current circumstances, the personal interaction is all the more important.”

By visiting the Virtual Market Place, trade visitors can see who will be exhibiting, make appointments and purchase tickets for the IFA 2020 Special Edition. Just before and during the event, the virtual extension of IFA, IFA Xtended Space, offers additional networking options.
