DHL Supply Chain is set to open its first recycling station this week as part of the National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme. The announcement comes less than a week after DHL announced a new website which it has launched to offer information about its recycling drop-off sites as well as details on recycling processes and what can be recycled at the centres.
The first DHL Drop Zone will be opened this Thursday on Kimbriki Road in Ingleside, north of Sydney near the Northern Beaches area.

The Kimbriki Drop Zone will take in products such as CRT, LCD and plasma televisions as well as PCs, laptops, printers and computer peripherals, which will be broken down in order to recover recyclable materials and safely dispose of hazardous materials.
A number of dignitaries will attend the event to promote the site and discuss the importance of the National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme, including the scheme’s target of increasing the recycling rate of end-of-life products from 17 per cent in 2010 to 80 per cent by 2021/22.
Attending the event will be director of Sony Australia, Nic Foster, as well the Parliamentary Secretary for Sustainability and Urban Water, Senator Don Farrell, the Mayor of Warringhah, Michael Regan, and vice president of Transport at DHL Supply Chain, Richard Phillips.
After the official opening, the centre is set to open Monday through Sunday from 7am to 5pm.
